Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Airport- Kandy. Transfer Time : Approx : 3hrs 120km
  • Arrive in Sri Lanka and receive a warm traditional welcome at the airport, complete with garlands, smiling hospitality, and cultural gestures that mark the beginning of your memorable journey.
  • Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on your way to Kandy, home to one of the world’s largest herds of captive elephants. Watch these gentle giants bathe in the river and roam freely in a sanctuary setting – an unforgettable wildlife encounter.
  • Continue your scenic drive to Kandy, the cultural capital nestled in the hills. Along the way, stop at a Spice Plantation to learn about Sri Lanka’s rich history of spices and herbal medicine.
  • Check in to your hotel and refresh.
  • In the evening, enjoy the Kandy Cultural Dance Show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dance, music, and drumming – a vivid celebration of Kandyan heritage.

Day 2: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya. Transfer Time : Approx : 2 1/2hrs 73km
  • After breakfast, begin a cultural tour of Kandy, starting with the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, an iconic Buddhist site housing the relic of Lord Buddha. Continue to Bahirawakanda Temple, where a giant Buddha statue offers sweeping views over the city.

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya

  • Visit the revered Hanuman Temple, an important site in the Ramayana legend, nestled amidst the hills with serene surroundings.

Continue to Victoria Park, a well-maintained garden ideal for a peaceful stroll amid colorful blooms.
  • Visit the Seetha Amman Temple, a serene site connected to the Ramayana legend and surrounded by forested hills.
  • In the afternoon, begin your picturesque drive to Bentota, a popular coastal town known for its golden beaches and laid-back charm. Check in to the hotel.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Bentota.
Day 5: Bentota
  • After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day with a peaceful boat safari on the Madu River. Wind through mangrove forests, cinnamon island, and local fishing villages for an immersive nature experience.
  • Next, visit a Turtle Hatchery in Bentota to learn about sea turtle conservation and observe baby turtles before their release into the ocean.

Day 6: Bentota – BIA. Transfer Time : Approx : 2 hrs 108km

It’s your last day in Sri Lanka.

Visit iconic landmarks including Gangaramaya Temple and its serene lakeside shrine, Seema Malakaya, followed by a stroll through Galle Face Green, a popular oceanfront promenade (depending on the flight details).

  • Drive through Colombo Fort and browse the bustling Pettah Market for a glimpse of local life.

  • The standard check-in time is 14:00 hrs. The standard check-out time is 12:00 hrs.
  • Every month Sri Lanka celebrates Poya Holiday which is the Full Moon day. On this day, no alcohol will be sold or can be purchased. It is not a good day for shopping as most shops are closed.
  • The above mentioned hotels will be confirmed on availability at the time of booking. In the event of unavailability of rooms a suitable alternative will be suggested prior to confirmation.
  • The Travel Time & Distance mentioned are approximate time and distance from point A to B. This is not considering the en route stops, traffic & weather conditions.
  • Sri Lanka is a humid tropical country. Therefore, lite cotton clothing is suitable.
  • Bring Sun protection lotion, sun glasses, sneakers, slippers and casual/leisure clothing, mosquito repellent, and of course a camera.
  • Hill Country ( Nuwaraeliya, Haputale,etc.,) is supposed to be the coolest places in the Island, but it is similar to an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. Please bring appropriate clothes.
  • Train Tickets are issued by the railway on manual basis exactly one month before the traveling date therefore train journey is strictly on availability..
  • A good level of fitness and mobility is required if going to Horton Plains, as this tour includes a moderate level of physical activity. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to accommodate special requirements if any.
